Tango zakládají v roce 1984: Mirek Imrich (zpěv), Zdeněk Juračka (kytara,housle), Franta Kotva (kytara), Jiří Novotný (baskytara).K nim se přidávají Jaroslav Vondrák (bicí) a Ota Baláž (klávesy,saxofon). Na podzim roku 1984 poprvé vystupuje Tango v Praze s koncertním programem " Elektrický bál". Kapela vsadila na kartu zábavy a její vystoupení bylo sestaveno z množství vtipně vypointovaných nápadů a gagů, s podporou kostýmů, pyrotechnických efektů a hudebních vtipů.Tango se stává objevem roku 1984.
